Merriam has a love for the great outdoors regardless of activity or condition. Originally from Boise, she spent her winters skiing and her summers swimming, camping, and hiking. Her love for the nature has only grown since. Now she climbs and backpacks in her free time while studying psychology and anthropology at UC Santa Cruz. Merriam started at Cascade in 2024 and began guiding in 2025.  She is very excited to meet new people and see what the summer holds!
