Cascade Raft & Kayak has been providing memorable whitewater adventures on the Payette River since 1985. As the largest outfitter on the Payette, our acclaimed whitewater company attracts the cream of the crop in staff from around the world. They are fun and outgoing and love to share Idaho’s outdoors. They are licensed and certified and bring experience honed by thousands of river miles. Our staff specializes in personalized service and unforgettable, safe outdoor experiences. The Long Family Legacy

Cascade Raft and Kayak is proudly owned and operated by the Long family. After years of whitewater adventuring together, this family loves it more than ever. You’ll notice the professionalism comes through in all the details of your trip, thanks to Tom and Debbi’s decades of hospitality experience. Their sons Kenneth, Chad, and Tren-and their wives, Anne, Krista, and Linzie-all are avid whitewater enthusiasts who add youthful exuberance, their own expertise, and contagious passion for river fun.

Giving Back

It is our privilege to operate in Idaho’s natural beauty, the Boise National Forest, the communities of the Payette River, Horseshoe Bend, and the greater Boise area. The personal impact of outdoor experiences is a reward that we see every summer, and we are passionate about sharing the smile, triumph and joy of our guests in a way that benefits others.     If you're looking for a great trip with great guides, Cascade Raft & Kayak is the place to go. This is my second year in a row doing the class 3 and 4 rapids and I have been impressed each time! Will be a repeat customer for years to come!

    I’ve now done this full day adventure trip twice because I love it so much. When I had some friends visiting me from out of town it was the first thing I scheduled. What really makes it so good is the quality of the river guides. They’re so good at what they do; you feel safe while they create a super fun atmosphere for the trip. And the rapids are no joke.

    Such an awesome place! We had our church youth group do the ropes course and rafting. This family-owned business was SO accommodating. Package included ropes course, which was amazing, lunch, and then whitewater rafting. Their facilities are great and include lockers to keep your things safe, picnic tables, lots of grass to relax, souvenir shop, and overall fun staff. The photos they took of the group turned out great too. Highly recommend for family, church, or corporate retreat.

    The Team at Cascade Raft & Kayak has been making a huge impact on the youth and guests at Boise Rescue Mission Ministries since 2018. They invite the youth and program participants to take a trip down the Payette River each summer. The Boise Rescue Mission is focused on breaking the cycle of homelessness through these programs. Watching these folks experience the great outdoors, and the good clean fun that Idaho rivers have to offer, has been a game changer. I am grateful to Cascade Raft & Kayak for changing lives in our community through the Boise Rescue Mission.

    The 2-day whitewater rescue class exceeded my expectations on many levels. Shane - the instructor -- broke everything down in ways that were easy to understand and put into practice. And he made every single bit of it fun and interesting. I always felt safe during all the river exercises and rescue scenarios. And I learned far more than I thought I would. Everyone who owns a raft, or plans to be a passenger on a rafting trip should sign up for this course. You will feel more confident and comfortable, and make the experience more fun and much safer for your group and other groups on the river.
