Jonna comes from the rainy city of Seattle. She grew up loving the wonders of the outdoors, whether she spent that rafting, mountain biking, or running. She eventually moved to Texas with her family where she practiced her southern accent. To escape the southern summers and all the sweat that comes from it, she started her guiding career far north at 15. She has called central Montana her summer home for the past 3 years, guiding multi-day river trips! She is beyond excited to start with Cascade this summer. After Jonna came home from those summers, she realized her southern accent wasn’t too good so she moved to Bellingham, Washington to attend Western Washington University. An interesting fact about Jonna is that she had the opportunity to work with National Geographic on a film about the river she worked on.
