Owen grew up in Oakura, a small coastal town in New Zealand, where he developed a strong passion for the outdoors. He has spent the last couple of years studying civil engineering in Christchurch, New Zealand, but is always looking for new challenges. In 2026, he joins Cascade as part of the reservations team, where he’s excited to help guests plan their time on the Payette and be part of an awesome summer on the river. When he’s not working or studying, Owen spends his time kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, skiing, and playing music. He recently completed a NOLS semester in the Rocky Mountains, where he built on his wilderness skills and deepened his love for adventure.
