Emma is excited to be joining the crew at Cascade Raft & Kayak this summer for her first season. She grew up in Northeast Georgia in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, where she spent most of her time outside exploring and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs football. She later made her way to North Carolina to attend Western Carolina University, where she’s going into her junior year studying Social Work. Living in the mountains helped her fully embrace her love for adventure and the outdoors. She got her start in guiding as a zipline guide at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, where she grew her appreciation for whitewater rafting, kayaking, and challenge course programs. At Cascade, she’ll be guiding rafting trips and working on the ropes course. In the off-season, you can find Emma balancing school with as much time outside as possible.
